According to a friend of mine who lives in Louisiana, this storm did more damage than Katrina.

Most of us don't know the truth about the amount of damage because it isn't showing up in the news and because most of us are not there, witnessing the damage firsthand. My friend considers herself lucky to have shelter, food, and water. Many others don't have those things, and hurricane season is also not at all over.

Bit of a friendslist cleanup. Lack of interaction and the belief that the people I removed aren't really reading this is the reason for most removals. To me a friendslist is interactive and an exchange, although I realize it's not the same for everyone else. For some it's just a reading list, and that's fine too. Free to be you and me and all that. If I'm mistaken in that belief (that you're not reading) and you'd like me to put you back on, feel free to respond here. Or if you've been away/not posting and are now back, let me know. I just don't like the feeling that I'm talking to myself, in my journal or in my comments on yours. ;)
